What A Face/Neck Lift Can Do for You
In the past, face-lifts just tightened your skin, which often created a
stretched appearance. With medical and procedural advances, it has become
clear that the deep tissue layers must be addressed to achieve a long-lasting,
natural-looking result. By sculpting the deeper layers, Dr. Palmer can
rejuvenate your face, jaw line and neck without any noticeable signs that
you’ve had “work done.”
Although aging is inevitable, a face-lift improves your overall appearance by:
- Tightening sagging face and neck muscles
- Softening wrinkled skin
- Smoothing nasolabial folds
- Reducing jowls
A neck lift tightens the muscles of your neck (platysmaplasty) and reduces
or eliminates the sagging or loose skin. A neck is lift often imparts
a dramatic rejuvenation, even beyond what a face lift can give.
Dr. Palmer’s philosophy is that you don’t have to sacrifice
quality for affordability. We offer both.
For those looking for non-invasive options, we also offer ThermiTight and
ThermiSmooth to tighten skin of the face and neck.
initial consultation, he will perform a thorough examination of your facial
shape, skin elasticity and bone structure to determine the approach that
will work best for you.
Procedure & Recovery
Dr. Palmer performs facelift surgery in his in-office operative suite using
a combination of IV sedation and local anesthetics.
An incision is made around the ear and hairline to insure optimum concealment
of postoperative scars. The skin of the face is undermined to varying
degrees depending on the degree of facial laxity. The tissue covering
the facial muscles (known as the “SMAS”) is tightened with
sutures. Excess skin is removed. CO2 resurfacing of the skin may be performed
concurrently or at a later date. The patient is then sent home the same
day when discharge criteria are met.
In your consultation, Dr. Palmer will discuss all of the factors that contribute
to the success of your procedure including healing and expectations. If,
at any point, you have questions or concerns, you’ll find that Dr.
Palmer is a warm, engaging man who will stay connected with you throughout
the process to ensure that you are thrilled with your result.
Complementary Procedures
Though a face lift/neck lift can be performed as a single procedure, Dr.
Palmer may recommend combining it with another procedure to improve the
overall rejuvenation of the face. Fat grafting to the face, eyelid surgery
and laser skin resurfacing are frequently performed together. Combining
these procedures is more convenient, more economical, and maximizes results.
